Responsibilities
Job Summary
Responsible for all activities necessary to ensure that Resort property, members, guests and associates are safe and secured.
Specific of the Job
1. Ensure that the Quality System continues to operate in line with:-
a) specified policies and procedures
2. Responsible for initiating improvements in the Quality System making proper recommendation, follow-up and taking necessary actions.
3. Ensure all requirements for security and safety as set forth by Management, and to advice Management on security matters.
4. Assist Human Resources in industrial relations, domestic inquiries and matters related to associate discipline.
5. Ensure strict control on overall Resort policies regarding members, guests, non-registered visitors to Resort rooms.
6. Implement crime prevention measures for safety of property and well-being of Resort guests and golf members, and to formulate remedial measures in the event of a crime. The Chief of Security must also promote crime prevention awareness amongst associates and security associates on an on-going basis.
7. Supervise all activities of security associates to ensure compliance with and proper application of functional area regulations and Resort policies.
8. Maintain constant contact with law enforcement authorities and other related government departments in order to get their assistance as fast as possible on matters related to security and safety of the Resort.
9. Plan, schedule and roster Security associates.
10. Review all security measures, procedures, equipment and methods for protective and preventive purposes as well as to maintain efficiency and tight security control from time to time.
11. Review daily reports from Security Personnel, issuing necessary orders to counteract unsatisfactory or irregular situation and condition.
12. Advise Management on measures to be taken against frauds, cheating and delinquent cases.
13. Handle and investigate all cases of accident, fire, and theft including all correspondence relating to those losses and accidents.
14. Handle all cases relating to unruly behaviour by members, guests and associates as well as provide adequate services for crowd and traffic control.
15. Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager so that all fire points and extinguishers are service regularly and to report any defects to the Maintenance Manager for repair.
16. Coordinate with other Functional Heads / Team Leaders for training on security and safety matters such as fire drill and first aid programmes.
17. Ensure that Resort entrance is manned 24 hours.
18. Ensure that all gate passes are duly signed by Functional Heads / Team Leaders concerned are collected when associate leave the Resort during working hours.
19. Ensure all assets that are transferred out of the Resort are accompanied by a gate pass accordingly to policy.
20. Ensure that all public telephones in the Resort are in good working condition. It is the responsibility of the Chief Security Officer to report any faulty telephones to the local authority concerned.
21. Ensure that the General cashier is escorted during collection of daily revenue.
22. Prepare floor patrolling schedule and ensure that it is properly adhered to.
23. Conduct surveys and reviews on prevailing crime trends with the view to upgrade, rectify or update security operations.
24. Assist the Manager-on-duty in investigating any guests’ or members’ complaints related to security matters.
25. Patrol and inspect on a daily basis the Resort building and report all information (example: fused bulbs, leaking, dirty places, etc) to the functional area concerned for immediate action. A copy of this report is to be sent to the General Manager.
26. Review policies, procedures and instructions on a regular basis and make recommendations to Management when policy changes are required.
27. Ensure safety of persons and their properties within Resort premises Resort regulations and existing laws must be enforced stringently.
28. Perform any other duties assigned by the Management.
Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
