Role Overview

This is a key finance leadership role responsible for managing and coordinating the finance function to provide effective decision support to the Regional management team. You will play a critical role in ensuring business results accurately reflect performance, driving financial controlling processes, and supporting business planning and forecasting across the region. The role is ideal for a hands-on finance leader with strong technical accounting knowledge, regulatory compliance experience, and the ability to partner closely with business and regional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the finance function to provide effective decision support to the Regional management team
• Organise and supervise the accounting system to ensure timely and accurate production of accounts, reports, and financial statements
• Ensure efficient financial controlling structures and processes, taking corrective action where necessary
• Provide financial insights on cost optimisation, risk management, and market orientation
• Work with business teams to develop local business strategies and plans, identifying financial and business priorities
• Support managers and directors in analysing and improving financial performance through KPIs, benchmarking, and best practices
• Lead business planning and forecasting with appropriate financial modelling, analysis, and commentary
• Ensure business activities comply with applicable laws and regulations, including financial reporting on foreign currency matters in Malaysia and Australia
• Be involved in budgeting for the APAC business

Key Requirements

• Degree in Accounting or Finance, with professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent)
• Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar senior finance role within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of financial controlling, reporting, and regulatory compliance, including cross-border/foreign currency matters
• Experience with business licensing and compliance certifications (e.g. MITI, LMW, ISO) is highly advantageous
• Familiarity with SAP and IT systems oversight
• Strong business partnering, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with regional and cross-border stakeholders
