About the role
We are seeking a skilled Test Technician to join our quality assurance and testing division at our facility in Senai, Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality, safety and performance of our electrical and electronic products.
Key responsibilities
- Sustaining Production Excellence: Provide real-time technical support to daily manufacturing operations, rapidly troubleshooting issues to minimize equipment downtime and maximize asset utilization.
- Technical Tool Competency: Demonstrate advanced proficiency in utilizing core engineering tools, diagnostic equipment, and specialized software to maintain peak system performance.
- Proactive Problem Solving: Drive root-cause analysis on equipment and process anomalies, implementing preventive actions to mitigate repetitive failures before they disrupt production schedules.
- R&D Apparatus Co-Development: Work with technical experts from the organization to setup new test apparatus to facilitate wide range of test method demanded by RND center.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a technical liaison with internal departments.
- Yield Optimization & Maintenance: Responsible for test yields improvement and test equipment maintenance.
What we're looking for
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience working as a Test Technician, Quality Assurance Technician, or in a similar testing role within an electronics or electrical manufacturing environment.
- Must have strong willingness to learn new things and challenge the existing production test/ assembly method
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Strong team player, with excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Experience with Test and Measurement equipment such as digital multimeter, oscilloscope, power analyzer, etc.
- Possess strong engineering and analytical problem-solving skills will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with power supply testing, component testing and product validation procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, circuit diagrams and technical specifications.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
