We’re looking to add a Manager, Industrial Engineering. The position is based in our site at Senai, Johor.

As a Manager,Industrial Engineering, you will: Responsible for improving manufacturing productivity, efficiency, capacity utilization, and operational performance through industrial engineering methodologies, work measurement studies, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Manufacturing Process Optimization

1. Work with Manufacturing and Test Engineering teams to establish efficient production processes and workflows.
2. Conduct cycle time analysis, TAKT time analysis, and capacity studies to optimize resource utilization and production output.
3. Perform line balancing activities to improve productivity and eliminate bottlenecks.
4. Design and optimize production line layouts to enhance operational efficiency, material flow, and ergonomics.
5. Evaluate and recommend improvements to manufacturing processes, equipment utilization, and labor productivity.

Industrial Engineering & Continuous Improvement

1. Conduct time and motion studies to establish standard work and labor standards.
2. Analyze production data and identify opportunities for cost reduction, waste elimination, and productivity improvement.
3. Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Industrial Engineering principles.
4. Monitor manufacturing performance and recommend corrective actions to achieve operational targets.
5. Participate in value stream mapping and process improvement projects.

New Product Introduction (NPI) Support

1. Support new product introduction and production transfer activities.
2. Validate manufacturing processes, cycle times, labor requirements, and production capacity during project implementation.
3. Identify tooling, fixture, equipment, and resource requirements to support production readiness.
4. Provide engineering support during product realization, pilot builds, and qualification activities.
5. Establish and maintain manufacturing data, routings, work instructions, and system documentation for new products.

Data Analysis & System Management

1. Maintain accuracy and integrity of manufacturing data within ERP/MES systems.
2. Develop reports and analyses related to productivity, labor efficiency, capacity utilization, and operational performance.
3. Track actual performance against established standards and identify improvement opportunities.
4. Ensure all engineering documentation is updated and maintained according to company requirements.
5. Undertake any additional responsibilities assigned as business needs arise.

Education and experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations Excellence within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in EMS, electronics manufacturing, or high-mix low-volume production environments is an advantage.
• Good knowledge and proficiency in SAP ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Highly motivated and energetic individual with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Experience in manufacturing data analysis and reporting.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of TAKT time analysis, cycle time analysis, and capacity planning.
