Job Summary:
The Accounting Intern will assist the Finance Department in daily accounting operations, data entry, and documentation. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial record-keeping, account reconciliation, and other accounting functions within a professional work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and maintaining accounting documents and records.
- Perform data entry of invoices, payment vouchers, and journal entries into the accounting system.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist in preparing financial reports, statements, and schedules as required.
- Perform bank reconciliation and check supporting documents for accuracy.
- Help in filing, scanning, and organizing accounting documents.
- Liaise with other departments to collect and verify accounting information.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Finance Executive or Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting software (e.g. SQL, AutoCount, or others – if applicable).
- Detail-oriented, organized, and responsible.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and able to work in a team environment.
