Complete ownership of thermal design for various electronic products from thermal modeling, design, test, and design revision, until transfer to manufacturing.
The Lead Engineer, Hardware Design works with cross functional teams with other designers, customers, manufacturing engineering and project leadership to ensure robust and high quality product development. Enhance designs with feedback from reviews in areas such as manufacturing, test, supply chain, reliability, industrial design and simulations. Provide support throughout the manufacturing process of the electrical/mechanical system that they have designed. #LI-LX1
Order & Inventory Management: Monitoring customer orders from entry to delivery, including managing E&O (Excess and Obsolete) materials to minimize waste.
Demand Planning: Autonomously plan and procure materials, aligning delivery schedules to satisfy manufacturing timelines and customer project requirements.
Oversee site purchasing activities to meet customer commits; lead high-level supplier escalations, expedites, and negotiations to resolve severe material shortages and delivery bottlenecks.
High-Volume Machine Uptime: Perform rapid troubleshooting and emergency repairs on high-runner automated production lines to minimize cycle-time bottlenecks.
Test Strategy & Automation: Design, build, and qualify scalable manufacturing test systems, custom fixtures, and automated test scripts (e.g., Python, LabVIEW, Visual Basic) from the ground up.
Lead the development, procurement and implementation of off the shelf standard solutions and/or develop new standard automation solutions to support customer product manufacturing equipment needs
