Job description
Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of equipment or solutions, including mechanical and
structural design, using CAD software and other relevant tools.
Conduct feasibility studies, analyze requirements, gather data, sourcing of materials and
components, and provide cost estimates for new projects.
Develop project plans and schedules, and manage team members to ensure timely delivery
of equipment or solutions that meets customer needs and specifications.
Troubleshoot and debug equipment or solutions, pre- and post- deployment, during
installation and commissioning, and provide technical support to maintenance personnel
and customers as needed.
Perform research and development activities to explore new technologies and design
solutions that can enhance the performance and functionality of equipment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, project managers,
and sales teams, to ensure alignment with business goals and customer needs.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as CE, FCC etc.
Prepare and deliver technical presentations and reports to management, customers, and
other stakeholders.
Prepare document, implement cost effective design which includes schematic diagram,
design drawings, and fabrication drawings, BOM list
Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to source materials and components for
equipment.
To train, assist and educate hardware engineers & technicians.
Work closely with project managers / service team / suppliers / vendors / outsource
partners to meet design specifications.
To Review, Approve and sign-off assembly and installation work by subordinates and
outsource partners.
And any other job as assigned by the Management from time to time.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in designing and developing automation equipment or machines, especially in structural and mechanical design.
Experience in leading projects from conception to implementation.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Knowledge in electrical and electronic design is a plus.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations, such as CE, UL, FCC, ISO etc.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
Good project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Familiarity with R&D processes and techniques for exploring new technologies and design solutions.
Experience in troubleshooting and debugging equipment during installation and commissioning.
Knowledge of equipment testing and validation processes.
Knowledge of wafer fabrication processes.
Ability to travel to customer sites or supplier locations, both domestic and international

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
