We are currently looking to expand our team of committed Instrumentation Engineers who will be responsible for ensuring our instruments are prepared, installed, and commissioned to the best level of quality required for a successful monitoring scheme.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Responsible for project management involving specialized geotechnical and structural instrumentation.
• Deliver instrumentation solutions for project concerning deep excavation, backfilling, reclamation, slope stabilization, shallow foundations, pile monitoring, environmental effect of
construction.
• Execute and supervise field instrument installation & monitoring works done in the tunnels, stations, slopes, dam, and shafts from initiating, planning, execution, monitoring / control and closing.
• Attending site progress meetings, preparation of minutes and coordination and follow-up with clients.
• Coordinate with construction team to minimize obstruction and damage of the monitoring instruments.
• Utilize extensive analytical skills to create, prepare and update instrument calculation sheet for each instrument installed ahead of the projected time.
• Supervise and quality control in instrumentation works.
• Develop method statements, proposals, monthly reports, and other necessary documents for instrument maintenance to ensure compliance to safety, specification, standard and procedure to achieve highest quality of work.
• Handling of customers’ complaints, and the implementation of corrective actions
• Report project progress to senior management
• Set up and maintenance of cloud-based Instrumentation database
• Undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as instructed by the Managing Director
Requirements
1. University graduate, bachelor degree or above in Civil Engineering / Surveying / Geology or equivalent.
2. More than 5 years’ relevant industry experience in instrumentation and monitoring works.
3. Familiar with structural and geotechnical instrumentation instruments and technologies.
4. General knowledge of electrical systems, wireless communication, computer networking, or land surveying a plus.
5. Show keen interests in construction, high-tech instruments, and using technology in construction.
6. Experience in JKR or JPS projects and strong connection with industry contacts is an advantage.
