Key responsibilities include
Designs, maintains and leads the implementation of the local health, safety, security and environmental management systems
Leads SHE incident management and drives management of relevant programs and actions relating to documented risks and or incident follow up
Conducts SHE meetings, audits and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action and implement follow up assessments.
Provides site employees, contractors and visitors with guidance on health, safety and security matters and ensures site is compliant with Barry Callebaut, industry, local and national guidelines and regulations.
Collaborates with management to develop an Emergency Action Plan and serve as primary contact for site SHE incident notification, investigation and case management.
Integrating occupational health and safety imperatives with business decision-making and risk management
Advising on engineering and maintenance practices to drive improvement of safe systems of working
Drive positive SHE culture through but not limited to: embedding the 10 BC Life Saving Principles, Gemba safety talks and training and putting Safety first demonstrated by consistent management behaviors
Ensure SHE compliance is regularly audited, performance and risks are assessed and use the results to drive further improvement
Ensure local SHE and facilities (eg Petroleum and Flammable Material Storage License etc) licenses as well as certifications remain valid with local authorities.
Responsible for monitoring and measurement of SHE variables - SHE Scorecard
About you
Degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent industrial experience
Registered with MOM as Workplace Safety and Health Officer and SCDF as Fire Safety Manager
Good knowledge of Singapore laws, regulation and codes of practice
Project Management skills
Internal auditor or ISO auditor qualification a plus
Experience of Lean/TPM tools and ways of working a plus
Understand the requirements of relevant standard such as ISO 14001 ISO 45001 or OSHSAS 18001
5 to 10 years experience in a factory-based role: Safety, Health or Environment role, Operations, Continuous Improvement, Process Improvement or Quality
Experience with SHE management systems and risk management
Experience with influencing behavioral change in a team/department
