The Role
In-depth understanding of government environment and knowledge The position is accountable for proactively soliciting and handling new prospects by developing sales opportunities to increase sales.
Requires a seasoned professional with expertise in navigating government processes and executing effective business development strategies within the public sector through customer relationship management.
Lead all day-to-day activities related to sales with a focus on building long term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of sales objectives.
Driving revenue growth by proactively identifying and pursuing sales
Opportunities prospected within assigned client portfolio.
Fostering positive relationships with government institutions and offices.
Prepare correspondence to customers; prepare and use internal (and/or company) sales systems, reports and statistics and file maintenance.
Develop relationships within the governmental and corporate community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities.
Using knowledge of market trends, product knowledge and target customer information to maximize revenue.
Executes tasks assigned by Sales Director and reports to CEO on timely manner.
Qualifications and Skills
Government Sales Representative may require a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in servicing various aspects of work in government agencies.
Maintains and nurtures relationships with government customers within the protocol.
Strong closing skills and meets or exceeds Sales Targets
Successful track record of working in a collaborative/matrixed environment.
Action orientated with a high drive for results
