You will be part of the SNEC Optometry Service Team, providing quality eye care to complement doctors' clinical management of patients. With opportunities to explore areas in low vision, primary eye care, and specialty contact lenses, you will be equipped with relevant skillsets to perform ocular examinations and provide counselling to patients.

To carry out the functions of an optometrist (refraction, basic ophthalmic history, and examination, performing ophthalmic investigations, prescription of spectacles and contact lenses) under supervision.
To participate and contribute to the marketing and expansion activities (e.g. conduct eye screening work and give eye care talks) of the center as the need arises.

Working Hours: 5.5 Days (Mon- Fri 830am-530pm Sat 830am-1pm)
Salary : $2500 - $3500
Location: Orchard
Job Responsibilities
Conducting comprehensive eye examinations
Performing diagnostic tests and procedures
Fitting contact lenses and providing aftercare
Communicating with patients to get detailed case histories
Examining the eyes of patients of all ages to detect signs of injury, disease, abnormality or vision defects
Offering advice and reassurance about vision-related matters
Managing staff, including dispensing opticians and clerical staff, and training junior staff,
Job Requirements
Diploma in Optometry or equivalent
Registered with the Singapore Optometrists and Opticians Board (OOB)

Chief Optometrist is responsible for overseeing the rendering of effective and efficient Optometry services to all customers in line with an organization’s vision and mission. The incumbent is required to ensure excellent Optometry service delivery and quality assurance of the unit.
Being the main resource person by providing specialized clinical skills, support and consultation for anything related to the Optometry service.
