Job Summary
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, dispatch, housekeeping, safety compliance, and manpower management. The role ensures efficient warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, customer satisfaction, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Operations
- Plan, organize, and manage daily warehouse activities.
- Ensure efficient receiving, unloading, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods.
- Monitor warehouse productivity and operational performance.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization and storage systems.
- Ensure timely processing of customer orders and deliveries.
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock control.
- Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and annual stock audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Monitor slow-moving, damaged, and obsolete stock.
- Ensure inventory transactions are accurately recorded in the system.
Team Leadership
- Supervise warehouse supervisors, storekeepers, forklift drivers, and warehouse assistants.
- Plan manpower requirements and work schedules.
- Train, coach, and evaluate warehouse staff performance.
- Enforce company policies, SOPs, and disciplinary procedures.
- Foster teamwork and a positive working environment.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with warehouse safety standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Monitor proper handling and storage of goods.
- Ensure warehouse equipment is properly maintained and certified.
- Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses.
Customer Service & Coordination
- Coordinate with transport, operations, customer service, and sales departments.
- Address customer complaints related to warehouse operations.
- Ensure service levels and customer requirements are met.
- Maintain effective communication with clients regarding inventory and shipment status.
Warehouse Systems & Reporting
- Ensure proper utilization of ERP systems.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Cost Control
- Monitor warehouse operating expenses.
- Control overtime, manpower, and equipment utilization costs.
- Identify opportunities for productivity improvement and cost savings.
- Manage warehouse consumables and assets effectively.
RequirementsEducation
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of warehouse operations experience.
- Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or managerial position.
- Experience in logistics, transportation, or 3PL operations preferred.

Working Conditions
- Based at warehouse facilities.
- May require extended working hours during peak operational periods.
- Required to conduct regular warehouse inspections and stock audits.
Pay: Up to RM7,000.00 per month
