Social Media Management: Planning and scheduling content calendars for platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and LinkedIn. This often includes community management (responding to comments).
Media Monitoring & Research: Tracking industry trends, competitor moves, and media mentions using monitoring tools to create daily or weekly reports.
Multimedia Production: Assisting in "low-stakes" production—shooting behind-the-scenes clips, basic video editing (CapCut/Premiere), and creating graphics on Canva.
Event Support: Providing logistical help for press conferences, product launches, or internal town halls.
Administrative Coordination: Updating media databases, managing PR giftings/mailers, and coordinating between departments.

1. Content Strategy & Digital Creation
This is the "bread and butter" of most internships. You aren't just writing; you are producing assets for various platforms.
Drafting Copy: Writing captions for social media (TikTok/Instagram), internal employee newsletters, or blog posts.
Multimedia Production:Assisting in shooting short-form videos (Reels/TikToks) and using tools likeCanvaorCapCut to create visual assets.
AI Augmentation: Using AI tools to brainstorm content ideas, generate first drafts, or summarize long reports into "snackable" social content.
2. Media Relations & Public Relations (PR)
If your role is PR-focused, you will act as the bridge between the company and the public.
Press Materials: Drafting press releases, media alerts, and "pitches" to send to journalists.
Media Monitoring: Tracking daily news to see where the company (or its competitors) is being mentioned and compiling these into a "clippings report."
Database Management: Updating lists of journalists, influencers, and bloggers to ensure the team is contacting the right people.
3. Corporate & Internal Communications
Large companies need to keep their employees informed and engaged.
Internal Branding: Drafting announcements for the company intranet or organizing "Town Hall" meetings and slide decks for executives.
Event Support: Assisting with the logistics of press launches, product activations, or internal staff appreciation events.
