• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Rail Engineering, or equivalent fields.

• Minimum 2 to 5 years of hands-on site experience in heavy civil infrastructures, elevated structures, bridges, highways, or major rail/track projects.

• Proficient in reading complex civil and structural drawings. Familiarity with basic surveying instruments (e.g., leveling tools, total station) will be an added advantage.

• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Melayu to coordinate effectively with a highly diverse, multinational engineering workforce.

• Strong problem-solving mindset, resilient under pressure, and willing to follow site shift schedules. Possession of own transport is required.

Project Context:Major Rail & Infrastructure Development Projectin Penang

Job Responsibilities:

• Site Supervision & Coordination: Conduct daily on-site inspections for a mega rail and infrastructure project to monitor subcontractors' work progress, quality, and strict compliance with safety regulations.

• Technical Assistance: Assist Site Engineers in executing technical briefings based on construction drawings, ensuring all ground works strictly align with engineering designs and method statements.

• Data Recording & Reporting: Gather site data, monitor measurements, maintain daily site diaries, and escalate any technical hitches or site anomalies to the management team promptly.

• Material Management: Oversee the delivery, quality, and usage of construction materials on-site, ensuring efficient utilization and proper storage.

• Liaison & Communication: Facilitate smooth communication between clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve structural overlaps or day-to-day site constraints.
