Requirements

1. Customer Service Operations:

  • Act as the primary contact for customers regarding bookings, shipment status, and general inquiries.

  • Provide accurate information on vessel schedules, freight rates, and cargo cut-off times.

  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through prompt and courteous service.

2. Shipping Documentation Handling:

  • Prepare and process shipping documents including:

    • Bill of Lading (B/L)

    • Shipping Instructions (SI)

    • Manifest

  • Ensure accuracy and timely issuance of all export documents.

  • Coordinate with customers to verify and finalize document details.

  • Handle any amendments to documentation as requested by customers or internal departments.

3. Booking Coordination:

  • Manage booking requests and confirm space availability with vessel planners.

  • Input and update booking information in the shipping system.

  • Send booking confirmations and container release information to customers.

4. Documentation Compliance:

  • Ensure that all documentation complies with company policies, international shipping regulations, and customs requirements.

  • Verify that hazardous or restricted cargo documentation is in full compliance with IMDG or local laws.

  • Ensure submission deadlines for shipping instructions and manifests are met.
