Key Responsibilities1. Business Development
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within the logistics, shipping, manufacturing, import/export, and container transportation sectors.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through cold calling, networking, referrals, and client visits.
- Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations and proposals.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements with customers.
- Participate in business tenders and Request for Proposal (RFP) submissions.
2. Sales & Customer Relationship Management
- Manage and grow relationships with existing customers to maximize repeat business.
- Conduct regular customer visits to understand operational requirements and identify new opportunities.
- Respond promptly to customer enquiries and provide logistics solutions tailored to their needs.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.
- Resolve customer complaints and service issues professionally.
3. Marketing & Brand Promotion
- Execute sales and marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness.
- Promote the company's logistics and transportation services through various marketing channels.
- Participate in exhibitions, trade shows, networking events, and industry conferences.
- Prepare marketing materials, brochures, and promotional presentations.
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs, competitor activities, and industry trends.
4. Quotation & Tender Management
- Prepare quotations based on customer requirements and company pricing policies.
- Follow up on quotations and negotiate commercial terms.
- Assist in preparing tender documents and business proposals.
- Monitor quotation success rates and conversion performance.
5. Operational Coordination
- Coordinate with Operations, Fleet, Warehouse, Customer Service, and Finance departments to ensure smooth service execution.
- Monitor shipment schedules, container movements, and delivery performance.
- Ensure customer requirements are communicated accurately to operational teams.
- Support customers with shipment tracking and operational updates.
6. Reporting & Administration
- Maintain accurate customer records in the CRM system.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales activity reports.
- Update sales forecasts and business pipeline reports.
- Monitor sales performance against KPIs and budgets.
- Prepare customer visit reports and meeting minutes.
7. Market Intelligence
- Monitor competitors' pricing, service offerings, and market developments.
- Identify emerging business opportunities in logistics and transportation.
- Recommend new services or improvements based on customer feedback and market demand.
Job Requirements
Education
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in:
- Business Administration
- Marketing
- Logistics & Supply Chain Management
- International Business
- Transportation Management
- Commerce
- Or a related field
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of sales or marketing experience.
- Experience in logistics, container haulage, freight forwarding, shipping, warehousing, or transportation is highly preferred.
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and developing new business.
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
