Job Summary

Site Engineer Intern will support the site engineering team in coordinating and monitoring daily construction activities to ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. This internship provides hands-on exposure to high-rise building construction and project site operations.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, Building Technology, Building Surveying, or a related discipline.

• Basic understanding of construction drawings and engineering principles.

• Willing to work on a high-rise construction project site.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proactive, responsible, and eager to learn.

• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with AutoCAD is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist Site Engineers in supervising and monitoring daily construction activities on site.

2. Observe site progress and ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.

3. Participate in site inspections to monitor workmanship, quality, and compliance with project requirements.

4. Assist in checking and verifying completed work before submission for inspection.

5. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to support smooth site operations.

6. Attend site meetings, toolbox meetings, and coordination meetings, and assist in preparing meeting minutes when required.

7. Support the preparation and maintenance of site documentation, including daily site reports, progress records, inspection records, and material tracking.

8. Assist in monitoring material deliveries and ensure materials are used according to project requirements.

9. Review construction drawings and help identify discrepancies for discussion with the site team.

10. Ensure site activities comply with company safety policies and relevant statutory requirements.

11. Assist in resolving day-to-day site coordination issues under the guidance of the Site Engineer.

12. Perform measurements and quantity verification for completed work when required.

13. Carry out any other duties assigned by the Project Manager or Site Engineer.
