Job Description

Requirements

Technical & Professional Qualifications

  • Professional Registration: Hold valid local accreditation (DOSH Yellow Book registration in Malaysia), or at least pass Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) Examination by DOSH.

  • Academic Background: Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

  • Communication: Strong communication skills to effectively instruct site workers and subcontractors.

  • Regulatory Expertise: Thorough comprehension of domestic workplace safety frameworks.

  • Engineering Literacy: Ability to interpret basic engineering blueprints, technical designs, and layout plans.

  • Travel Requirements: Must be willing to travel outstation for project deployments, site inspections, and installations.

  • Working Hours: Standard hours apply, but must be willing to work overtime (OT) or during off-days when project deadlines or peak operational demands require it.

Responsibilities

Daily Site Supervision & Enforcement

  1. Perform site inspections

  2. Rectify immediate risks

  3. Enforce PPE protocols

  4. Check subcontractor compliance

  5. Review risk matrices

  6. Assess work methods

  7. Coordinate hazardous tasks

  8. Lead toolbox talks

  9. Manage site inductions

  10. Promote safety awareness
