Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Biology, or a related field (Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply!).

• Diploma Graduates:Minimum1 year of working experience in a lab/food application setting.

• SPM Holders:Minimum3–4 years of relevant hands-on experience.

Key Skills & Attributes

• Must-Haves:

  • Strong eagerness to learn and proactive attitude.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and passion for tasting/evaluating flavors and ingredients.

• Nice-to-Haves:

  • Background in Quality Control (QC) or Quality Assurance (QA).

  • Familiarity with standard PC applications and software.

  • Experience or background in food-related industries.

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join an established, international company in the food and beverage industry.

In this role, you will be based in Kelana Jaya, Selangor, reporting directly to the Technical Manager. You will be responsible for preparing food and beverage samples, participating in flavor evaluations, and supporting application processes in line with company standards and safety policies.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development & Application Support

• Prepare application samples for customer briefs, product development, technology assessments, and quality control tests.

• Maintain clear recipe records and documentation in company software systems.

• Manage and maintain laboratory raw materials and flavor collections for quick response to briefs.

• Assist Technologists on complex application projects as needed.

• Participate in evaluating raw materials, new technologies, and flavors in food products, providing constructive feedback on performance.

Lab Safety & EH&S

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized laboratory environment adhering to good laboratory practices and EH&S guidelines.

• Participate in required safety training and adhere to daily safety protocols.

• Identify and report any safety hazards to maintain a secure working environment.
