The Cabin Steward is responsible for maintaining clean, comfortable and well-presented guest suites while delivering consistent, personalised service that meets luxury hospitality standards.

Work aboard a luxury cruise ship following destination-rich worldwide itineraries that visit renowned cities, culturally significant ports and smaller coastal destinations across multiple continents. Build valuable international hospitality experience while travelling the world.

Important: Cruise ship grading differs from land-based hotel grading. Depending on relevant experience and the client’s assessment, candidates may be considered for a position one or two ranks below their current land-based role.

• This is a full-time position. Part-time applications will not be considered.

• Minimum high school education or international equivalent.

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Room Attendant, Chamber Person or equivalent in a 4-star or 5-star hotel or on a cruise ship.

• Cruise ship experience is preferred but not compulsory.

• Fluent in written and spoken English.

• Strong guest service, communication, organisational and supervisory skills.

• Able to coach and supervise junior team members.

• Able to work under pressure and collaborate with an international team.

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

• A valid STCW certificate is required before joining.

• Must be able to lift or move up to 25 kilograms without assistance.

Salary

• Salary: USD 2,000

• Contract duration: 8 months

• Clean and maintain approximately 20 assigned guest suites according to established luxury service standards.

• Welcome guests during embarkation and introduce the facilities and services available in their suites.

• Provide personalised assistance and respond promptly to guest requests.

• Make beds, replace linen and manage guest laundry and valet-service requests.

• Restock minibars, drinking water, fruits, glassware, stationery, ice and other suite amenities.

• Report defective equipment, fixtures or supplies and follow up until resolved.

• Coordinate with Butlers and Assistant Cabin Stewards to provide a consistent guest experience.

• Supervise, assist and train the assigned Assistant Cabin Steward.

• Handle housekeeping equipment safely and ensure it is properly maintained.

• Conduct inventory checks and support cost-effective departmental operations.

• Follow USPH sanitation requirements, shipboard safety procedures and company regulations.

• Attend required meetings, training sessions, safety drills and emergency exercises.

• Protect guest confidentiality and perform other duties assigned by shipboard management.
