• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Quality Management, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Quality Assurance (QA), Food Safety, or Compliance within the food manufacturing industry.

• Experience in tea, beverage, FMCG, or food manufacturing is an advantage.

• Hands-on experience maintaining HalalandMeSTI certification systems.

• Exposure to GMPandHACCP implementation or certification projects is preferred.

• Experience participating in internal, external, or certification audits.

• Good understanding of:

  • Halal Assurance System (HAS)

  • MeSTI requirements

  • Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)

  • Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point (HACCP)

  • Food Hygiene Regulations

  • Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS)

• Able to develop, review, and maintain SOPs, Work Instructions, and quality documentation.

• Experience in document control and record management.

• Knowledge of internal audit processes and CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions).

• Ability to perform Root Cause Analysis using tools such as 5 Why or Fishbone Diagram.

• Good understanding of product traceability and recall procedures.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Excellent organizational and documentation skills.

• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

• Positive attitude with a continuous improvement mindset.

• Willing to work closely with Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, and Management teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with the following qualifications will have an added advantage:

• HACCP Team Member or HACCP Team Leader Training.

• GMP Internal Auditor Training.

• HACCP Internal Auditor Training.

• Halal Internal Auditor Training.

• Experience coordinating certification audits and liaising with certification bodies or regulatory authorities.

• Knowledge of ERP or Quality Management System (QMS) software.

• Maintaining the company's Food Safety and Quality Management System (FSQMS).

• Ensuring compliance with Halal, MeSTI, GMP, and HACCP standards and regulatory requirements.

• Leading the implementation and certification of GMP and HACCP.

• Maintaining and continuously improving existing Halal and MeSTI certification systems.

• Developing, reviewing, and maintaining food safety policies, SOPs, and quality documentation.

• Monitoring compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements throughout the manufacturing process.

• Coordinating internal and external audits, certification activities, and corrective actions.

• Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, food safety, and operational compliance.

• Promoting a strong food safety and quality culture across all departments.
