2. Qualifications & Experience

Diploma or Certificate in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

1–3 years’ experience in automotive service, technical support, or related field.

Hands-on experience with vehicle diagnostics, service tools, and technical troubleshooting.

Familiarity with automotive systems, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.

3. Skills & Competencies

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Effective communication skills for liaising with dealers and internal teams.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail in documentation and reporting.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Willingness to travel to dealer locations for technical support as required.

Proactive attitude with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.

1. Job Purpose

The Support Technician provides technical assistance and support to dealers and internal teams, ensuring smooth operation of automotive systems, prompt troubleshooting of technical issues, and contributing to excellent aftersales service delivery. This role is key in maintaining dealer satisfaction and supporting the Technical Department in operational efficiency.

2. Key Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues reported by dealers or internal teams promptly.

Provide on-site and remote technical support for vehicle systems, service procedures, and equipment.

Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of automotive products and systems.

Document technical problems, solutions, and service activities accurately and timely.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of vehicle technologies, diagnostic tools, and service procedures.

Support dealer technical training programs under guidance from Technical Manager.

Assist in warranty claim inspections, technical assessments, and reporting.

Ensure all work complies with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

3. Working Conditions

Office-based with frequent visits to dealer locations.

May require occasional overtime during technical emergencies or training sessions.

Hands-on work with vehicles, diagnostic equipment, and technical tools.

4. Authority & Decision-Making

Authorized to provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to dealers under supervision of Technical Executive/Manager.

Escalate unresolved technical issues to Technical Executive or Manager promptly.
