Minimum secondary school qualification (SPM or equivalent).

Previous cashier or retail experience is an advantage but not required.

Good numerical and cash-handling skills.

Friendly, approachable, and customer-oriented attitude.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Honest, responsible, and able to maintain confidentiality.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays, and evening shifts.

Basic computer and Point-of-Sale (POS) system knowledge is an advantage.

Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, professional service at all times.

Accurately process cash, credit/debit card, e-wallet, and other payment transactions.

Scan merchandise, issue receipts, and ensure pricing accuracy.

Handle cash responsibly and balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift.

Assist customers with inquiries, returns, exchanges, and product locations when required.

Promote store loyalty programs, promotions, and special offers to customers.

Pack groceries carefully and efficiently when needed.

Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout counter.

Report pricing discrepancies, equipment issues, or customer concerns to the supervisor promptly.

Follow company policies, cash handling procedures, and health and safety regulations.

Support other store operations, including stocking shelves or light housekeeping duties, as assigned.
