Job Overview

Manage and operate platform services in a tenant environment above the hypervisor level. Ensure the reliability, security, and operability of container platforms and COTS components, including MongoDB, Nginx, MQTT, IBM MQ, ArcGIS, and other related platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the platform operations team supporting container platforms and COTS services.

• Manage incidents, changes, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and platform lifecycle activities.

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot COTS components.

• Work closely with application and Authority Furnished Equipment (AFE) teams for integration and issue resolution.

• Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and architecture documentation.

• Ensure effective monitoring, logging, and observability across platform services.

• Support patching, upgrades, and platform lifecycle management.

• Ensure OS hardening compliance based on the approved golden image.

• Drive capacity planning and performance tuning.

• Lead Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) activities.

Requirements:

• At least 7–10 years of infrastructure/platform experience.

• Strong experience with Kubernetes/container platforms.

• Experience with Docker/Podman.

• Experience installing and managing MongoDB, MSSQL, Nginx, and Apache.

• Experience with messaging systems such as IBM MQ, MQTT, or Kafka equivalents.

• Understanding of networking, firewalls, and load balancers for troubleshooting purposes.

• Strong Linux administration and OS hardening experience.

• Experience with monitoring tools such as eG Monitoring, Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK.

• Experience in government or regulated environments is preferred.

• Experience with CI/CD integration.

• Automation experience using Ansible and scripting.

• Knowledge of integration patterns, including REST and messaging.

• Familiarity with security compliance requirements.

• Strong knowledge of PaaS/CaaS, containers, COTS, and OS hardening.

• Lead a team of 4–6 infrastructure engineers.
