The Retail Assistant (Product Specialist) is responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences by understanding each customer's needs and recommending technology solutions that genuinely fit them. This role provides expert product guidance, hands-on demonstrations, and after-sales support while maintaining high store standards.

In MR. ROBOT's fast-moving retail environment, the Retail Assistant (Product Specialist) works closely with the Store Manager and retail team to create a consultative shopping experience that builds customer trust, showcases innovative technology, and supports the store's sales and operational goals.

What you will do:

1. Customer Consultation & Product Advisory

• Understand each customer's needs, the problems they want to solve, and how they intend to use the product before recommending solutions that genuinely fit them.
• Provide honest, consultative advice that focuses on the customer's needs rather than pressure selling.

2. Product Demonstration & Sales Support

• Bring technology to life through hands-on product demonstrations and explain technical features in simple, easy-to-understand language.
• Guide customers through product selection, purchase options, and initial setup to ensure they leave confident in using their new products.

3. Product Knowledge & Team Collaboration

• Stay up to date with Robotique's product range, new arrivals, product features, and competitor offerings to provide accurate and credible recommendations.
• Share product knowledge with teammates, support the sales floor during busy periods, and contribute to a smooth and efficient store operation.

4. Customer Service & After-Sales Support

• Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and after-sales concerns with patience and professionalism.
• Follow up with customers when required to ensure they feel supported beyond the initial purchase.

5. Store Presentation & Operations

• Maintain clean, organised, and visually appealing product displays, demo units, and stock areas.
• Ensure products and demonstration units are functional, well-presented, and ready for customers at all times.

What you need to have:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and confidently engage with customers.
• A customer-first mindset with a consultative approach, understanding customer needs before recommending products and solutions.
• Genuine curiosity about technology and consumer gadgets, with the willingness and ability to learn new products quickly.
• Strong presentation and demonstration skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in a simple, clear, and engaging manner.
• Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment while managing multiple customer interactions.
• A proactive team player who is dependable, adaptable, and willing to support colleagues when needed.
• Prior experience in retail, customer service, consumer electronics, or other customer-facing roles is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Fresh graduates and candidates with a strong interest in technology are encouraged to apply.
• Availability to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays, based on operational requirements.
• Interest in AI or robotics is highly desirable.
• Location: Robotique, Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
