Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Radiographer role based at Hospital Fatimah in Ipoh. The Radiographer is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, including operating radiologic equipment, positioning patients, and ensuring high-quality images for accurate clinical assessment. Daily responsibilities include adhering to radiation safety protocols, maintaining and calibrating equipment, and following established procedures and documentation standards. The role involves collaborating closely with radiologists, medical officers, and nursing staff to support timely diagnosis and treatment, while providing clear information and reassurance to patients throughout imaging procedures. The Radiographer is also expected to participate in quality improvement initiatives and comply with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong knowledge and practical skills in Radiology and Radiologic Technology.
- Candidates should possess skills and understanding in Radiation and Radiation Safety, including safe operation of imaging equipment and protection measures.
- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Medicine relevant to diagnostic imaging and patient care.
- Recognized diploma or degree in Radiography/Radiologic Technology from an accredited institution.
- Valid professional registration and current practicing certificate, where applicable.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in image acquisition, and ability to follow clinical protocols.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing clinical demands.
- Prior experience in a hospital radiology department and familiarity with digital imaging systems (e.g., PACS) are advantageous.
