About the role

This role involves managing production planning, material control, and inventory coordination in a manufacturing environment. You will monitor production schedules, material status, and work-in-progress (WIP) to ensure timely customer delivery and optimal production performance. The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams including Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, Quality, Engineering, and Customer teams to resolve material and production issues.

Key responsibilities

1. Follow up and escalate material shortages, Clean To Build (CTB) gaps, WIP issues, and production risks.

2. Request and monitor production and material status updates from relevant departments.

3. Identify and highlight potential line-down and customer delivery risks to Management.

4. Analyze production and material data and provide clear and timely status updates.

5. Prepare and monitor production plans and material requirements to support production schedules.

6. Monitor daily production plans, production output, and WIP status, and follow up with Production on WIP movement and production progress.

7. Support customer delivery and OTD performance by ensuring production and shipment requirements are met on time.

8. Prepare daily and weekly PMC reports covering material status, WIP, production output, shortages, and delivery status.

9. Provide timely updates and escalate critical production and material issues to Management.

10. Work closely with Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, Quality, Engineering, and Customer teams to resolve material and production issues, including coordination with overseas/China teams when required.

11. Ensure accurate updating of production WIP, material consumption, and WO status in the ERP/MRP system, ensuring system information reflects actual production status for traceability.

12. Manage Clean To Build (CTB) by verifying material readiness against the production plan and ensuring all required materials are available before build.

13. Drive cross-functional follow-up and continuous improvement in material and production control processes.

14. Drive Production to review and take corrective action on MRB scrap and material attrition exceeding 5%, including root cause analysis and recovery actions.

15. Monitor material attrition, MRB scrap, and abnormal material consumption, and escalate significant variances to Management.

About you

• 1.       Diploma / Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field.

  2.       Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in Production Planning, Material Planning, Material Control, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing.

  3.       Experience in electronics manufacturing or EMS environment is an added advantage.

  4.       Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  5.       Experience with ERP/MRP systems, preferably Infor LN, is an advantage.

  6.       Good understanding of material planning and production planning, with the ability to monitor and control material availability, WIP, finished goods (FG), and inventory status.

  7.       Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and follow-up skills.

  8.       Able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
