Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional, holistic nursing care to patients in the Accident & Emergency (A&E) Department according to hospital policies and nursing standards.
• Perform triage, initial assessment, vital signs monitoring, top-to-toe assessment, and identify patients requiring urgent medical attention.
• Manage emergency and life-threatening cases in collaboration with Medical Officers, Consultants and the multidisciplinary team.
• Perform nursing procedures including phlebotomy, IV infusion, medication administration, wound dressing, and assisting in minor procedures.
• Safely transfer and transport patients to other wards, departments or healthcare facilities, including ambulance transfer cases.
• Conduct proper patient handover and maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Hospital Information System.
• Assist with patient admission, discharge, specialist appointments, and management of death cases.
• Assist the Nurse Manager in ensuring smooth daily operations of the A&E Department and supervise junior nursing staff and support personnel when required.
• Ensure medications, emergency equipment, resuscitation trolley, ambulance and medical supplies are properly checked, maintained and ready for use.
• Comply with infection prevention and control, patient safety, occupational safety and other hospital policies and procedures.
• Participate in quality improvement, incident investigation, fire and safety programmes, 5S and other hospital initiatives.
• Maintain professional competency through CPD, CNE programmes, mandatory training and competency assessments.
• Perform other nursing and operational duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager or immediate supervisor.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Nursing.
• Registered with the Nursing Board of Malaysia with a valid practising licence.
• Post-Basic qualification in a relevant nursing field is an added advantage.
• Bachelor of Nursing is an added advantage.
• Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient-care skills.
• Caring, responsible and committed to delivering quality nursing care.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, on-call, and during emergencies.

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
