• Manage and oversee laboratory operations, research, analysis, and testing activities for Terengganu Silica Consortium (TSC), TRG Silica (Marang), and TRG Industrial Minerals. Ensure laboratory management systems comply with safety, quality, equipment maintenance, inventory control, and OSHA (JKKP Negeri Terengganu) requirements.
• Support plant engineers in designing, optimizing, and improving silica processing operations by monitoring process performance, troubleshooting production issues, conducting research and development, evaluating new technologies, and recommending process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Ensure product quality through laboratory testing, inspections, production sample analysis, and failure investigations. Maintain accurate laboratory records, prepare technical reports, update standard operating procedures (SOPs), and provide technical recommendations to support operational excellence.
• Promote and ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and operational standards, including company SOPs and regulatory requirements. Participate in quality and productivity improvement initiatives and recommend solutions to enhance operational performance.
• Collaborate closely with the Plant, Sales, Chemist, and Laboratory teams to support production and sales objectives. Utilize the Ramco ERP system for purchasing, preventive maintenance, inventory, and administrative activities, while carrying out any additional duties assigned by Management.

Job specification:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mineral Resource, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Extractive Metallurgy, or a related discipline.
• Basic knowledge of extractive metallurgy, mineral processing, and silica beneficiation processes.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Up to 2 years of experience in a metallurgical laboratory, mineral processing plant, mining, or manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
• Understanding of laboratory analytical techniques, sample preparation, and testing procedures.
• Knowledge of ISO management systems and laboratory best practices is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good laboratory and data analysis skills.
• Ability to interpret test results and prepare technical reports.
• Willing to work at a mining and mineral processing operation.
• Able to work in plant and laboratory environments while complying with all safety requirements.

Pay: From RM2,800.00 per month
