Key Responsibilities

1. Credit Evaluation & Analysis

• Review and assess credit applications, financial statements, bank references, and other supporting documents.
• Perform comprehensive credit analysis, including ratio analysis, cash-flow forecasting, and risk scoring.
• Recommend appropriate credit limits, terms, and conditions

2. Risk Monitoring & Portfolio Management

• Monitor assigned customer accounts to identify early warning signals of potential default.
• Prepare periodic credit risk reports and highlight high-risk exposures to management.
• Recommend remedial actions such as tightening terms, requesting additional security, or initiating recovery processes.

3. Policy & Compliance

• Ensure all assessments comply with company credit policies, Sarawak Labour Ordinance–related financial guidelines, Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) regulations, and internal risk appetite.
• Maintain accurate records of credit decisions and approvals for audit purposes.

4. Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with Sales, Collections, and Finance teams to balance risk and business objectives.
• Liaise with external parties such as banks, trade references, and credit bureaus for verification and additional information.

5. Continuous Improvement

• Propose enhancements to credit assessment procedures, scoring models, and automation tools.
• Keep abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in credit analysis, risk management, or related banking/finance roles.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, cash-flow analysis, and credit scoring methodologies.
• Familiarity with Bank Negara Malaysia guidelines, credit bureau reports, and Sarawak/Malaysia regulatory frameworks is an advantage.
