About the Role:

We're looking for a commercially-minded Business Development Manager to take ownership of our existing customer relationships while actively pursuing new business opportunities. This is a dual-focus role: roughly half account management (retention, growth, satisfaction) and half new business development (prospecting, pitching, closing). You'll be the main point of contact for a portfolio of accounts and a driving force behind expanding our customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

Account Management (Existing Customers)

• Own a portfolio of existing accounts, acting as the primary relationship contact
• Conduct regular check-ins and business reviews to understand evolving customer needs
• Identify and convert upsell/cross-sell opportunities within the existing base
• Monitor account health, resolve issues proactively
• Track customer satisfaction and act as an internal advocate for customer needs

New Business Development

• Research and identify prospective customers
• Build and manage a pipeline of qualified leads

General

• Maintain accurate records of activity, pipeline and forecasts
• Report regularly on performance against targets (retention, growth, new business revenue)
• Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and customer industry developments What

We're Looking For

• Proven experience in a business development, account management, or sales role
• Track record of meeting or exceeding revenue/growth targets
• Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
• Confident communicator, comfortable presenting to clients at all levels
• Self-starter who can manage a varied workload across retention and acquisition activity
