10+ years of experience in semiconductor facility or tool-installation design, with 3+ years in a formal management or lead role (mentoring engineers, running design reviews, approving deliverables).

Proven track record of managing multi-discipline design teams for wafer fabs.

Technical Proficiency:

·Deep understanding of tool utility hook-up requirements (power, chilled water, CDA, N2, exhaust, drain, high-purity gases/chemicals).

  Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks for clash detection and design review.

  Ability to read, interpret, and critique:

P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams)

Mechanical floor plans and sections

Electrical single-line diagrams and load schedules

Structural foundation and seismic restraint drawings

Familiarity with SEMI S2/S8 safety guidelines, FM Global standards, and Malaysian regulatory requirements (DOSH/OSHA, DOE, CIDB, Suruhanjaya Tenaga).

Communication & Leadership:

Exceptional ability to articulate complex technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders (Project Managers, Finance, Operations).

Strong conflict-resolution skills to mediate between disciplines with competing space/utility demands.

Ability to lead a culturally diverse team and work effectively across Malaysian, expatriate, and international vendor groups.
Proficiency in English is highly desirable; Malay Chinese is a plus.

 Manage and mentor a multi-racial team of discipline leads (Mechanical, CDA, Electrical, Exhaust, UPW, PDS, Bulk & Special Gas, Chemical, Slurry, I&C, etc.) across Penang and Kulim sites.

Conduct regular 1:1s, provide technical career coaching, and oversee performance reviews in line with Malaysian labor practices.

Lead hook-up design interface coordination with base built system, cleanroom interior decoration and Tool moving-in schedule, ensuring alignment of space, clear height, floor loading, vibration, cleanliness and connection interfaces with Tool requirements.
