Job Summary

Retail Assistant is responsible for supporting daily station operations, including fuel and non-fuel sections, customer service delivery, merchandising, and maintaining a clean and safe retail environment.

The role actively promotes station products and contributes to the achievement of station KPIs, particularly in sales volume growth, revenue generation, customer satisfaction, and compliance with operational and HSE standards.

The Retail Assistant may also serve as a backup Cashier when required and reports directly to the Station Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

1. Increase Sales & Revenue

• Support achievement of station sales targets by promoting and upselling fuel and non-fuel products. 
• Ensure all transactions are handled accurately, securely and efficiently to maximize revenue growth. 

Improve Customer Acceptance

• Assist in management-directed promotions and advertising. 
• Ensure effective visual merchandising and well-stocked displays. 
• Maintain a clean and appealing station environment to drive customer awareness and sales.

Improve Customer Satisfaction

• Deliver friendly, efficient and professional customer service. 
• Promptly handle customer inquiries and complaints. 
• Escalate issues when necessary. 
• Support initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty. 

Improve Project Management

• Follow station procedures, policies and service standards. 
• Maintain a clean, orderly and well-organized work environment. 
• Support smooth daily operations through teamwork and punctual attendance. 
• Consistently adhere to assigned shifts. 

Improve HSE Compliance

• Comply with HSE rules, safety procedures and emergency protocols. 
• Maintain safe working practices, particularly in fuel handling and customer areas. 
• Participate in required training. 
• Support a safe and hazard-free station environment. 

Increase Knowledge & Skills

• Participate in company training programs. 
• Apply learned skills to enhance service quality and operational efficiency. 
• Meet required annual training hours for competency development.
