Job Summary

The Store Manager is responsible for the overall management and performance of a retail store, ensuring sales targets and budgets are met while maintaining high standards of customer service, merchandising, and operational compliance. This role requires strong leadership to manage staff, monitor stock levels, and oversee day-to-day store administration, while staying attuned to market trends to drive continuous business improvement. The ideal candidate is an experienced, mobile, and proactive retail professional capable of managing multiple priorities under pressure.

Key Job Functions

• Oversee and manage overall retail store operations.
• Achieve store sales targets and budgets as set by the Company.
• Stay informed on current market trends within the retail industry.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on sales performance and merchandise mix.
• Manage the selling floor, including housekeeping standards and merchandise display.
• Ensure the store complies with health and safety policies and regulations.
• Plan and execute store promotional activities.
• Handle customer queries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
• Monitor stock replenishment to maintain healthy and accurate inventory levels.
• Manage day-to-day administrative functions of the store.
• Oversee manpower planning and management within the store.
• Conduct staff performance appraisals, identify training needs, and support career development.
• Liaise regularly with Headquarters / Senior Management on operational matters.
• Undertake any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in retail branch/store management.
• Diploma or Degree in any field.
• Own transport with willingness to travel as required.
• Willingness to work extended hours, including public holidays.
• Flexibility and mobility to be transferred between stores/outlets.
• Strong communication and observational skills.
• Proven problem-solving, customer service, leadership, and merchandising/display skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and possesses strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and perform effectively under pressure.
