About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Food & Beverage Outlet Executive to join the team at Swan Garden Resort Hotel in Melaka. This is a full-time position based on-site at our hotel location. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service and managing the day-to-day operations of our food and beverage outlets. You will play a key part in ensuring that every guest receives outstanding hospitality and that our outlets operate efficiently and profitably. This position offers the opportunity to develop your expertise in the hospitality industry whilst contributing to the success of a well-established hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Providing excellent customer service to guests and ensuring their dining experience exceeds expectations

• Taking orders, serving food and beverages, and processing payments accurately and efficiently

• Maintaining a clean, hygienic and welcoming environment throughout the outlet

• Assisting in the preparation and presentation of food and beverage items in accordance with hotel standards

• Supporting inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to management

• Collaborating with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth operations during service periods

• Handling guest queries and complaints professionally and escalating issues to management when necessary

• Following all health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards

• Contributing to promotional activities and special events organised by the hotel

• Training and assisting junior staff members when required

What we're looking for

• Previous experience working in a food and beverage environment, ideally in a hotel, restaurant or bar setting

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail

• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and best practices

• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and carry items safely

• A positive attitude, reliability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and public holidays

• Basic mathematical skills for handling cash transactions and payment processing

• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food hygiene requirements

• Fluency in English is essential; additional language skills are advantageous

• A relevant qualification or certification in hospitality or food service is preferred but not essential if you have demonstrable experience
