Job Description
Primary duties: (Approximately 70 to 80% of daily work schedule)

- Involve in Design and develop mechanical product structure (plastic), to meet customer, manufacturability & in-house requirements.
- Design and develop tooling solutions for R&D projects, including fixtures, molds, dies, and other manufacturing aids.
- Conduct feasibility studies and prototype testing to validate tooling designs and identifyareas for optimization.
- Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and manufacturing teams to understand project requirements and ensure alignment with tooling objectives.
- Utilize CAD software and simulation tools to model and analyze tooling designs, ensuring functionality, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Evaluate new materials, technologies, and manufacturing processes to enhance tooling performance and efficiency.
- Generate detailed documentation, including drawings, specifications, and test reports, to support the development and implementation of tooling solutions.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to resolve tooling-related issues during development, testing, and production phases.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in tooling design and manufacturing.
- Experience or proficiency in project management by effectively plan, organize, and executeprojects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- In charge testing of designated plastic moulding products and necessary secondary process (printing & assembly) to ensure the conformance of established quality requirements.
- Perform 1st Article Checking on new / modified mould and liaison with mould maker / supplier / workshop for necessary action.
- Generate DCN / ECN to production arising from Design & Development activities and update into quality control documents.
- Distribute 1st Article Checking Report and quality document to relevant department.
- Follow up all abnormal cases.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in tooling design and development, preferably in an R&D or product development environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and machining techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non- technical stakeholders.
- Strong R&D and Product Development Exposure Opportunity to contribute to the design, development, and improvement of plastic mechanical products from concept through testing and implementation.
- Advanced Tooling & Engineering Experience Gain hands-on involvement in tooling design, molds, dies, fixtures, prototypes, and manufacturing aids while applying CAD and simulation technologies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with R&D, engineering, manufacturing, quality, and external suppliers, providing broad exposure to the full product development and manufacturing process.
- Continuous Innovation & Technology Involvement in evaluating new materials, technologies, and manufacturing methods, supporting continuous improvement in product and tooling performance.
- End-to-End Project & Technical Ownership Opportunity to manage engineering projects, troubleshoot tooling and production issues, conduct first-article inspections, and drive design changes from development through production.
