Regional Project & Governance Manager

Location: Singapore (Onsite)

Contract: 12 Months

Our client is a globally recognized leader in the payments industry, connecting businesses, financial institutions, and consumers through innovative payment solutions across multiple markets.

We are looking for an experienced project and governance professional to support regional payment and business initiatives across Southeast Asia and Greater China.

This person will play a key role in ensuring important business and industry changes are properly planned, coordinated, and delivered across multiple countries. You will work closely with teams across Product, Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and external partners to keep projects on track, manage priorities, and drive successful outcomes.

As the manager, you will:

• Lead and coordinate regional projects and business initiatives from planning through implementation.
• Ensure industry, regulatory, and business changes are reviewed, prioritized, and delivered effectively.
• Work with teams across different countries to monitor project progress, resolve issues, and manage risks.
• Facilitate discussions and governance meetings to support decision-making and accountability.
• Track key actions, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables across multiple workstreams.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and external payment industry partners to support strategic initiatives.
• Prepare project updates and reports for senior management, highlighting progress, challenges, and key decisions.
• Maintain clear documentation, project records, and governance processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and enhance operational efficiency.

What We Are Looking For?

• Around 8-years of experience in project management, PMO, business transformation, payments, banking, or financial services.
• Proven experience managing regional or multi-country projects involving multiple stakeholders.
• Good understanding of card payments, digital payments, or the broader payments ecosystem.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable working with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
• A hands-on individual who can drive execution while maintaining strong attention to detail.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with payment networks, card schemes, or payment technology organizations.
• Exposure to governance, compliance, operational change, or business transformation initiatives.
• Experience supporting digital transformation or process improvement programs.
