About your new role!
- Partner with the business across Asia
Act as the trusted People partner to leaders and managers across Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and the Philippines, aligning people plans with business goals.
Coach managers on team effectiveness, people decisions, and day-to-day employee matters.
Support organisational change and help build a consistent, healthy culture across the four markets.
- Own performance management across three business units
Drive the performance management cycle for three business units: goal-setting, check-ins, calibration, and reviews, in line with the global performance framework.
Coach managers to set clear expectations, give effective feedback, and address underperformance fairly and promptly.
Use performance and talent data to inform development, progression, and succession decisions.
- Lead employee relations and employment-law compliance across the four jurisdictions
Bring current, practical knowledge of employment law in Malaysia (Working knowledge of the Employment Act 1955 (incl. 2022 amendments), EPF/SOCSO/EIS/PCB compliance), Singapore, Hong Kong, and the Philippines, and advise on compliant people decisions.
Manage employee-relations cases, grievances, and investigations in the region with sound judgement and discretion.
Identify where specialist local counsel is needed and brief it well, rather than carrying legal risk informally.
Ensure the smooth running of HR Operations across the regions and business units
- Drive organisation design and talent development
Partner on organisation and team design in the region: levelling, role scope, and structure aligned to the company career framework.
Build talent in the region through capability development, succession planning, and clear career pathways.
Translate group People frameworks so they land locally, and feed regional insight back to the central team.
