Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all mechanical maintenance activities for the biomass power plant.
• Plan and schedule preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance for plant equipment.
• Lead and supervise fitters, technicians, contractors and maintenance workers.
• Monitor the condition and performance of mechanical equipment and identify potential failures.
• Oversee maintenance of pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, fans, valves, cooling systems and other rotating equipment.
• Coordinate equipment inspection, dismantling, repair, alignment, installation and commissioning.
• Ensure proper alignment, lubrication, bearing replacement and mechanical adjustment of equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Prepare and monitor maintenance schedules, work orders and maintenance records.
• Coordinate with operations and electrical teams to ensure maintenance work is carried out safely with minimum plant downtime.
• Supervise contractors and ensure work is completed according to approved specifications and schedules.
• Monitor usage of mechanical spare parts, tools and materials and identify required stock.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company HSE and safety procedures.
• Conduct toolbox meetings and ensure workers use the required PPE.
• Assist in planning and executing major shutdowns, overhauls and plant maintenance activities.
• Prepare maintenance reports and provide updates on equipment condition and outstanding maintenance issues.
• Support the Plant Manager in improving equipment reliability, availability and maintenance costs.
• Perform other duties related to mechanical maintenance as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma / Certificate / SKM in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Maintenance or related field.
• Preferably 5–8 years of mechanical maintenance experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in power plant, biomass plant, palm oil mill, manufacturing or heavy industrial environment is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of boiler, pumps, conveyors, gearbox, bearings, valves and rotating equipment.
• Able to read and understand mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to supervise contractors and maintenance teams.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Willing to work overtime, shifts and during plant shutdown/major maintenance when required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
