Job Responsibilities
Manage the daily operations of the school library.
Promote
reading, literacy and a love of books
among students.
Organise book promotions, reading activities and library programmes.
Work with teachers to provide resources that support the
school curriculum
.
Manage and maintain library books, digital resources and the library system.
Monitor library usage and recommend suitable new resources.
Support students in developing
library and research skills
.
Supervise and guide student librarians where required.
Support school activities and contribute to students’
well-being and learning experience
.
Follow school policies on
safeguarding, student welfare and safety
.
Job Requirements
Diploma or Degree in
Library Studies, Education or a related field
.
Relevant library or school experience is preferred.
Passionate about
books, reading and working with students
.
Good organisational and administrative skills.
Comfortable using library systems and digital resources.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Creative, approachable and able to engage students.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Committed to
student well-being and safeguarding
