Role Overview

The Special Projects – Strategy & Operations role contributes to cross-functional project delivery from scoping through implementation. The role works across different business problems, projects, and departments, depending on business needs. Responsibilities may include project planning, execution and coordination, analysis and recommendations, and implementation and learning. This role may be appointed at different Job Grades depending on the candidate's demonstrated capability, ownership, and level of business impact. Final title, grade, and career track will be confirmed during the hiring process. For Expert Track roles, formal people management is not an inherent responsibility. For Management Track roles, formal people-management accountability will apply.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning

• Translate approved objectives into workplans, milestones, and expected outcomes.

• Maintain project documentation, dependencies, risks, and status.

• Prepare clear and decision-ready project updates.

• Identify issues early and recommend practical next steps.

Execution & Coordination

• Coordinate workstreams and stakeholder actions.

• Track deliverables and follow up on commitments.

• Resolve delivery blockers within assigned authority.

• Escalate material issues when additional support or decisions are required.

Analysis & Recommendations

• Gather and structure business information.

• Analyze options, risks, root causes, and implementation implications.

• Develop clear and evidence-based recommendations.

• Support decision-making by presenting practical options and trade-offs.

Implementation & Learning

• Support pilots, launches, and implementation activities.

• Monitor adoption, progress, and early outcomes.

• Capture lessons and identify areas for improvement.

• Improve delivery methods, processes, or ways of working where appropriate.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Relevant project, strategy, operations, business improvement, commercial, product, technology, or cross-functional experience.

• Strong analytical and presentation skills.

• Ability to structure unclear problems and develop practical recommendations.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities remotely.

• Ability to work across different teams and business areas.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
