Position Overview

This position is designed for MV/LV switchgear products and serves as a reserve force for the Quality Department's management pipeline. Upon joining, the candidate will rotate through core quality modules, gradually taking on full-chain quality management responsibilities including incoming material inspection, in-process inspection, internal testing, and on-site issue handling. The goal is to develop into a quality management professional capable of overseeing all the above functions.

Job Responsibilities

1. Incoming Material Inspection (IQC)

1. Learn and master the inspection standards for key raw materials and components of MV/LV switchgear, including but not limited to: enclosure sheet metal, copper busbars, insulation parts, circuit breakers, current/voltage transformers, meters, busbars, and cables.

2. Conduct conformity checks on incoming materials for dimensions, appearance, electrical performance, and documentation against drawings, technical agreements, national/industry standards, and company standards.

3. Participate in the disposition, identification, isolation, and return processes for non-conforming incoming materials, and drive closure of supplier quality issues.

4. Assist in establishing and improving incoming inspection specifications, inspection records, and supplier quality files.

2. In-Process Inspection (IPQC)

1. Go deep into the production floor to learn and execute in-process inspection for MV/LV switchgear assembly, wiring, copper busbar processing, and component installation.

2. Conduct patrol and dedicated inspections at key processes, promptly identifying and reporting assembly quality, process compliance, and drawing conformity issues.

3. Participate in first-article inspection and process handover inspection to ensure non-conforming products do not flow to the next process.

4. Assist in analyzing process quality anomalies and drive production departments to develop corrective and preventive actions.

3. Internal Testing (Factory Acceptance Testing)

1. Learn and master factory test items for MV/LV switchgear, including but not limited to: main circuit resistance measurement, insulation resistance testing, power frequency withstand voltage test, mechanical operation test, electrical interlock test, and protection function verification.

2. Independently or with assistance complete factory tests on switchgear according to test outlines and standard operating procedures, accurately recording test data.

3. Perform preliminary judgment and feedback on test failures, and coordinate with the technical department for root cause analysis.

4. Participate in routine maintenance, inspection of test equipment, and compilation and archiving of test reports.

4. On-Site Issue Handling

1. Participate in responding to and handling quality issues during on-site installation, commissioning, and commissioning of MV/LV switchgear.

2. Assist in collecting on-site fault information, conducting preliminary cause analysis, and coordinating with technical, production, and procurement departments to develop solutions.

3. Track the closed-loop rectification of on-site issues, build a case library, and drive internal quality improvement.

4. Gradually develop the ability to independently handle quality issues on site and communicate effectively with customers.

Job Requirements

Educational Background

· Major in Electrical Engineering and Automation, Power Systems, Mechatronics, or related fields; college diploma or above.

· Solid foundation in electrical theory; familiar with circuit principles, electrical machines and apparatus, and power system analysis.

Professional Knowledge and Skills

1. Understanding of the basic structure, working principles, and main component functions of MV/LV switchgear.

2. Familiar with the use of common electrical testing instruments (e.g., multimeter, insulation resistance tester, circuit resistance tester, withstand voltage tester).

3. Able to read electrical primary system diagrams, secondary schematic diagrams, and wiring diagrams.

4. Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management system and common quality tools (e.g., 8D, 5Why, PDCA) is preferred.

5. Proficient in Office software; capable of basic data organization and report writing.

Work Experience

· Experience in quality, testing, assembly, or after-sales service in MV/LV switchgear, switchgear equipment, power equipment, or related industries is preferred.

· Outstanding fresh graduates may also be considered, provided they demonstrate strong learning ability and commitment to long-term development.

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
