Roles & Responsibilities:

• Accomplishes quality assurance objectives with one of the scopes by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees 

• Communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions 

• Planning, reviewing preventive and corrective actions on processes, enforcing policies and procedures 

• Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information, analysis to strategic plans, reviews, preparing and completing action plans, implementing production, productivity, and quality  

• Meeting customer-service standards by identifying and resolving problems, establish and completing audits, determining system improvements, propose, implementing and enforce changes and processes 

• Work with the Operations Director in meeting quality assurance financial objectives by estimating requirements, preparing annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analysing variances, and initiating corrective actions 

• Develops QA plans by conducting hazard analyses, identifying critical control points, preventive measures, establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, verification procedures and monitoring inventories 

• Validates quality processes by establishing and controlling product specifications and quality attributes, measuring production quality performance, documenting evidence, determining operational and performance qualification, writing, and updating QA procedures 

• Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits  

• Investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of management to develop new product engineering designs, manufacturing, and training methods 

• Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations 

• Updates job knowledge by studying trends in and developments in quality management, participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations 

• Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments 

• Ensure strict compliance to production conformance planning and delivering of all orders whilst ensuring the best-in-class quality levels and optimum cost 

• Provide leadership to the factory teams, ensure right level of expertise and proper succession planning process aimed at smooth delivery of all department deliverance including managing and reporting of revenue budget  

• Drive continuous process improvement through the ability to recognize unnecessary complexities and process gaps, and proactively drive implementation of strategies to execute effective solutions 

• Communicate with business units in identify objectives, requirements and formulate options  

• Conduct routine checks on production to gauge, review, evaluate, propose, and execute effective and productive alternatives/solutions/scientific in-sights on improvement of productivity and processes etc. 

• Advise timelines for all projects by proper documenting and maintaining records on progression stages, phases of projects and their timeline to completion and delivering of finished products 

• Provide day to day operations advice to manufacturing operations to achieve key business objectives involving quality, productivity, order fulfilment etc. And develop contingency plan for improvement

Requirements:

• Engineering degree plus proven manufacturing and/or product related experience with familiarity of alcohol manufacturing, assembly, and awareness of other elements of the supply chain 

• Able to mobilise teams, foster enthusiasm, and individual contribution to achieve defined objectives 

• Awareness of market research techniques relating to consumer product quality requirements 

• Understanding product performance in relation to consumer product quality requirements, competitor activities and market developments 

• Practical competence in analysis, problem solving and continuous improvement methods and techniques 

• Applied knowledge of Quality Management Systems and Corporate Quality tools and measures 

• Know-how of key quality control/ assurance concepts and their implementation 

• Able to foster enthusiasm, influence, gain commitment to objectives, usually without direct authority 

• Professionally qualified individual with demonstrable experience of the application of quality systems in a GLP and ISO 17025 laboratory environment 

• Evidence of leadership of quality personnel in a R&D or contract laboratory environment with clear experience of meeting regulatory demands. 

• Ability to prepare concise and comprehensive reports that enable GR&D to manage its own internal quality processes effectively as well as establish quality-assured collaborations with external contract laboratories.
