Job Summary
The Marine & Technical Coordinator supports superintendents by coordinating vessel maintenance, compliance, and operations. This role ensures effective vessel-to-shore communication and streamlines fleet management activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist Marine and Technical Superintendents in managing fleet maintenance, compliance, and operational tasks to ensure vessel readiness and regulatory adherence
- Coordinate communication between vessels, office teams, and onshore operations to facilitate timely information flow and issue resolution
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate vessel Class surveys, dry-dockings, and statutory inspections to maintain compliance with classification society requirements
- Manage procurement workflows for technical stores, spare parts, and marine equipment to support uninterrupted vessel operations
- Facilitate crew movements, vessel documentation, and port agency coordination to support daily operational needs and smooth vessel turnaround
Required competencies and certifications
- Knowledge of marine classification rules, statutory surveys, and vessel classification standards such as ABS, DNV, BV, and LR
- Experience in marine coordination, vessel operations, or technical administration within ship management or maritime environments
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and liaison skills to effectively communicate with ship crews, vendors, agents, and internal teams
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage documentation, dry-docking logistics, and procurement processes concurrently
Pay: From RM5,000.00 per month
