DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• To prepare meals and refreshments for residents, staff, and volunteers (breakfast, lunch, tea, dinner) in accordance with the approved menu or in consultation with the Supervisor or Deputy Supervisor

• To serve/distribute prepared food or donated food to the resident orphans, staff, and volunteers

• To prepare food and refreshments for MTFA / Darul Ihsan’s meetings and events/functions and, if necessary, send and set up at venue

• To assist in packing donated food items for resident orphans, non-resident orphans and the poor and needy (fakir/miskin)

• To maintain records of groceries, provisions and other supplies purchased, used and disposed off

• To maintain records of donated food items, groceries, provisions and other supplies received, used and disposed off

• To maintain proper labelling of food supplies and containers as per MSF’s guidelines

• To maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment and all cooking utensils

• To maintain and clean the dining hall, food stores, tables, chairs, trolleys and racks

• To purchase any food items, groceries, provisions etc as required by the Supervisor or Deputy Supervisor

• To ensure the timely distribution of food items for consumption a well as timely disposal of expired food items as per MSF’s guidelines

• To ensure that a high state of hygiene is maintained when preparing and serving food/drinks

• To place timely order for kitchen supplies, groceries, and other provisions

• To carry out rice-packing and assist the Welfare Department with the bi-monthly disbursement exercises

• To support MTFA / Darul Ihsan in all events/functions

• To perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor

Monday to Thursday: 8.00am – 5.30pm

Friday: 8.00am – 5.00pm
