Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the full set of company-level accounting for assigned entities, including day-to-day accounting and month-end closing. The role will also support Group consolidation, intercompany reconciliation and financial reporting.
The successful candidate should have a strong accounting foundation, good analytical skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with Group and regional finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage the full month-end closing process for assigned entities, ensuring accounts are accurately and timely closed.
- Prepare and review monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet accounts, including analysis of significant movements and variances.
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure appropriate supporting documentation is maintained.
- Prepare and process payments, including ensuring proper documentation, approvals, and accuracy of payment details.
- Handle invoicing, accounts receivable/payable activities, and other routine accounting transactions as required.
- Assist with monthly Group consolidation, including preparation and submission of consolidation schedules and supporting information.
- Perform intercompany reconciliations and follow up on outstanding differences with relevant entities.
- Assist with Group reporting and ensure financial information submitted by subsidiaries is complete and accurate.
- Support the preparation of management reports, financial schedules, and other ad-hoc financial analysis.
- Liaise with auditors and provide supporting schedules and information required for the annual audit.
- Assist with statutory reporting, tax-related matters, and other compliance requirements where necessary.
- Perform any other ad-hoc finance-related tasks or corporate projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Accounting, Finance
- At least 2–3 years of experience in a mid-tier or Big 4 audit firm is required.
- Candidates with subsequent in-house commercial accounting experience will be preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems, specifically Oracle NetSuite, would be advantageous.
- Proven experience in management and Group reporting within a multinational group structure is advantageous.
- Strong Excel skills, with the ability to perform detailed analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple countries, cultures, and time zones.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, able to manage competing priorities and meet tight reporting deadlines.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
