Job Overview

BEUMER GROUP SINGAPORE is seeking a Cost Controller to oversee the financial aspects of projects, ensuring they are completed within budget and in compliance with financial regulations. The role involves close collaboration with project managers and stakeholders to provide accurate cost monitoring, reporting, and financial insights throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand contract structures and key commercial points from main contracts, sub-contracts, and bidding documents.
  • Set up and maintain Project Progress Reports with monthly updates.
  • Review procurement plans and monitor material costs on a monthly basis.
  • Consolidate resource plans from departments and track internal labour costs.
  • Perform variance analysis and support budget and forecast review meetings with the project steering committee.
  • Monitor project expenditure against budgets, commitments, and forecasts.
  • Provide financial insights and support to ensure projects stay on track financially.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in a project-based environment (finance experience is an advantage).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant ERP/cost control systems.
