Job responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall IT operations.
• Manage and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, networks, firewalls, Wi-Fi, storage, backup systems and end-user devices.
• Ensure high availability of IT systems and minimise system downtime that may affect manufacturing operations.
• Manage, support and maintain Epicor ERP, including troubleshooting, system enhancements, upgrades and user support.
• Work closely with Production, Planning, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Finance, HR and other departments to understand business requirements and improve the effective use of Epicor ERP.
• Support MES and other manufacturing/business systems, where applicable.
• Identify opportunities to improve and automate business and manufacturing processes through ERP and other IT solutions.
• Manage cybersecurity controls including user access, endpoint protection, firewalls, system patching, vulnerability management and security monitoring.
• Ensure proper data backup, disaster recovery and IT business continuity arrangements are maintained and regularly tested.
• Lead IT infrastructure upgrades, system implementations, automation and digitalisation projects.
• Manage IT vendors, service providers, software licences and maintenance contracts.
• Prepare and manage the site's IT operating and capital expenditure budgets.
• Support internal, external and customer audits relating to IT systems, cybersecurity and information security.
• Ensure compliance with Company/Group IT policies and applicable data protection requirements.
• Lead, supervise and develop the local IT team.
• Work closely with Group IT Manager from Singapore Head Office on Group-wide IT standards, cybersecurity initiatives and IT projects.
• Provide timely escalation and support for critical system failures or cybersecurity incidents.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
• Preferably 8–10 years of relevant IT experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Experience in a semiconductor, precision engineering or manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, networking, servers, cybersecurity, backup and disaster recovery.
• Good working knowledge of ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Epicor ERP will be a strong advantage.
• Experience supporting ERP functions such as production, planning, inventory, purchasing, supply chain and finance would be advantageous.
• Experience in IT project implementation, system upgrades, process automation and digitalisation initiatives.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Able to manage vendors and coordinate effectively with Group IT teams.
• Independent, hands-on and able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Must be prepared to provide support outside normal working hours when required for critical IT or production system issues.

Pay: RM3,748.77 - RM16,502.95 per month
