About the Job

To expand the business for Agency Distribution Channel by recruiting new agents and increase existing agents’ productivities with profitable portfolio mix in line with the Company Underwriting Risk appetite and guideline

• Achieve yearly growth target of the agents to assist branch manager to achieve yearly target
• Conserve renewal and grow the agency force through grooming and recruitment
• Ensure the development of portfolio mix and achieving underwriting profit in alignment with the company appetite
• Conduct risk inspection and acceptance whilst exercising in the Underwriting Authority Limit as assigned by the company
• Ensure effective and efficient support in managing the agents and their customers
• Provide guidance to the staff under their care (as a team / unit leader) in areas of technical knowledge and career path
• Work with other stakeholders as required by the company
• Take accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risk and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risk
• Maintains awareness industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company
• Highlight any potential concerns / risk and proactively shares best risk management practices

The Person:

• Basic degree in any discipline or insurance qualification eg.AMII or DMII
• Minimum 2 – 5 years’ experience in Sales or Marketing preferably in General Insurance industry
• Competencies : Leadership skill, Problem solving skill, Interpersonal skill, Sale and Marketing skill, Business acumen and industry knowledge
• High level of integrity, take accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork
• Take initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes
