Job Summary
We are looking for a Field Applications Engineer to provide technical and application support to customers across the Asia Pacific region. The role focuses on supporting the evaluation, adoption and promotion of embedded computing, electronics and IoT-related products, while working closely with sales, engineering, marketing and global technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Technical Support

• Provide technical support and solutions to existing and prospective customers.
• Understand customer requirements and develop suitable technical propositions and solutions.
• Support customer meetings throughout the full sales cycle, from opportunity identification to post-sales support.
• Respond to RFPs, prepare customer presentations and conduct technical training.
• Support custom projects by liaising between customers and design/manufacturing teams.
• Develop technical content, product collateral and application materials to support sales and marketing activities.
• Support industry trade shows, exhibitions, technical demonstrations and partner events.
• Work closely with regional and global technical teams to develop customer opportunities and product design-ins.

New Application & Product Development

• Develop application solutions and support the creation of new product applications.
• Identify suitable solution providers and partners for product development and accessories.
• Assist with product design, testing and optimisation to support large-scale product adoption.
• Review technical content for new products and applications.
• Build and maintain technical knowledge bases, FAQs and product documentation.
• Support product NPI activities, including testing and technical marketing content.

Key Deliverables

• Provide strong technical support to product and sales teams across APAC.
• Contribute towards regional sales targets.
• Drive product design-in and design-win opportunities.
• Support new product introduction and technical documentation.
• Participate in customer and supplier meetings.
• Develop technical demos and training materials.
• Support technology exhibitions and industry events.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in the complete product development cycle, from design and prototyping through production and go-to-market.
• Experience developing software applications under Linux OS.
• Strong understanding of schematics, Gerber files and PCB design.
• Experience in testing and debugging electronic products.
• Knowledge of embedded software development, including Python and Zephyr.
• Good understanding of microcontrollers, processors and emerging technologies.
• Knowledge of compliance testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills.
• Strong ownership, proactive attitude and ability to work independently.
• Able to manage projects across international time zones.
• Willing to travel regionally to support customers and events.

Added Advantage

• Experience with compliance testing laboratories.
• Knowledge of embedded computing / single-board computer ecosystems.
• Experience with MATLAB, Altium, Visual Studio, Arduino, Keil Studio or MS Office.
• Experience developing web, mobile, embedded or PC applications.
• Knowledge of AWS or Azure.
• Experience in product development and manufacturing.
• Experience applying IoT, ML or AI to real-world applications.
• Experience with RMA, returns and failure analysis.
• Experience in Android/iOS development and source control.
• Experience working in a matrix or multinational environment.
